To support this growth we require an experienced self-starter who is a “hands on” energetic bookkeeper to assist in managing the business, business improvement and growth in “bottom line” results.This important role is designed to support the retail management team and help drive the business performance.  The production of timely, accurate information by the incumbent is vital, while seeking efficiencies particularly in stock control and labour costs.The successful applicant will be involved in the daily management of the group’s operations, providing management with an “open minded” approach to business routines and operations to improve productivity.A highly developed ability to work as part of a team is essential while still being firm and focused on achieving the desired daily, weekly and monthly outcomes is necessary.Salary and incentives is negotiable dependent on experience.  We are a retail business that operates 7 days a week, the selected candidate will be required to offer some flexibility with hours to fit in with business needs.ResponsibilitiesAccounts payable & accounts receivables.Bank / credit card reconciliations.Responsible for processing weekly payroll.Preparing statutory liabilities including super, payroll tax & workers compensation.BAS & GST preparation for lodgment by external accountant.Budget, expenses and cash flow.In order to be successful for this role, you will haveDegree or Cert qualification in accounting or bookkeeping.Bookkeeping practice (min 5 years)High level of accounting software knowledge ideally MYOB (AccountRight).Exceptional organisational skills-you are focused, reliable, methodical, and meticulous.
