Located at 8 km ENE of Cessnock and 3 km west of Weston, in New South Wales, Australia. Abermain is adjacent to Werakata National Park. Weston has a population of over 3600 people (2011 population). The suburb is bounded by the locality of Abermain in the West and Kurri Kurri in the East. Settlement of the area goes as far back as the late 1800s when coal was discovered and several collieries were established. In 1903 the town of Abermain sprung up at a pithead, based around the Abermain colliery. Weston has a fantastic location being so close to the expressway and people developing in the area of this suburb will soon be booming!.
